Vibrant citrus and tropical aromatics lead immediately into a bright, coastal expression of Sauvignon Blanc, where passion fruit and grapefruit tones are sharpened by a clean, saline edge. 2024 Delta Sauvignon Blanc reflects a thoughtful sourcing approach from cool-climate vineyard sites along California’s coastline, paired with native fermentation and stainless steel aging to preserve purity. This wine stands as a direct extension of Delta’s founding mission, uniting precise winemaking with a long-term commitment to environmental stewardship.

The palate opens with lifted notes of passion fruit and yellow grapefruit, followed by layers of lime zest and green melon that bring both freshness and texture. A delicate thread of honeysuckle softens the citrus intensity, while the stainless steel élevage preserves a crisp, mineral-driven finish. The 2024 vintage emphasizes vibrancy and precision, capturing the hallmark tension and aromatic clarity expected from cool-climate California Sauvignon Blanc.

Winemaker’s Background:

Delta for Environmental Change was founded by Matt and Alexis Iaconis as an extension of their commitment to both wine and environmental responsibility. After years of building their first winery, Brick & Mortar, the couple launched Delta in 2018 to directly support climate-focused initiatives. A portion of proceeds from every bottle is donated to organizations such as the Surfrider Foundation and Cool Effect, contributing to ocean conservation and carbon reduction efforts. Matt brings global winemaking experience and technical training, while Alexis contributes deep expertise from her career as an advanced sommelier and hospitality leader. Together, they have built a family-driven winery rooted in both craftsmanship and purpose.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well-chilled at 45 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit in a white wine glass to emphasize aromatics and acidity. Ideal alongside fresh seafood, oysters, ceviche, goat cheese, or herb-driven salads. Its bright acidity also complements lighter poultry dishes and vegetable-forward cuisine.
