Sensory Description:

The wine pours a delicate salmon-pink hue with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant, raspberry, and subtle rose petal layered over cool limestone minerality. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with crisp acidity and a refreshing semi-tannic structure that gives the wine shape and versatility at the table. Fresh red berry flavors mingle with hints of citrus zest and chalky minerality, carrying through a clean, vibrant finish that reflects the cool climate and limestone-rich terroir of Sancerre. The 2025 vintage shows excellent precision and freshness, emphasizing purity of fruit and elegant balance.

Winemaker’s Background:

Domaine B. Millet is a third-generation family estate based in the village of Bué within the Sancerre appellation. Today, the domaine is managed by Betty and Franck Millet, who oversee 22 hectares of vineyards planted across the region’s distinctive limestone and clay soils. The estate is recognized for producing classic expressions of Sancerre with a focus on typicity, precision, and sustainable vineyard practices. Vineyard work is performed largely by hand, including rigorous green harvesting to ensure optimal fruit quality. Through careful selection and low-intervention cellar practices, the Millet family continues to craft wines that faithfully reflect the terroir and longstanding traditions of the Loire Valley.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 10 °C in a white wine or universal glass. Excellent alongside shellfish, grilled salmon, charcuterie, goat cheese, summer salads, light pasta dishes, grilled meats, and Asian cuisine. Its bright acidity and mineral structure make it especially versatile for warm-weather dining and aperitif service.
