2025 Domaine du Petit Clocher Rosé de Loire is a fresh, expressive rosé shaped by the Denis family's schist-rich vineyards in the southern Loire Valley. Cabernet Franc provides structure and bright red fruit, while Grolleau Gris and Grolleau Noir bring floral lift, gentle spice, and an invitingly supple character. The result is a vibrant, generous wine designed for relaxed meals and warm-weather drinking.

Sensory Description:

Crystal-clear pink with subtle orange highlights, the wine opens with delicate aromas of red berries, violets and English candies, accented by the Grolleau's gentle spicy character. The palate begins with a bold, rounded impression before revealing fresh red fruit, lively balance and a rich yet easy-drinking texture. Generous and immediately appealing, it finishes with refreshing clarity and a lingering floral note.

Winemaker's Background:

The Denis family's winegrowing history began in 1920, when Jules-Émile and Marie Denis acquired several hectares of vines in Cléré-sur-Layon. Successive generations expanded and modernised the estate, which became Domaine du Petit Clocher in 1975. Between 2003 and 2009, fourth-generation winegrowers Stéphane, Vincent and Julien Denis assumed leadership, combining inherited knowledge with experience gained in French, Californian and Australian vineyards. In 2025, the estate adopted the Famille Denis identity to place its century-long family heritage at the centre of the brand, while preserving Petit Clocher as the name of its established cuvées.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 8 to 10°C and open shortly before pouring. Its fresh fruit, floral character and gentle spice pair naturally with grilled meats, summer salads, charcuterie, barbecued vegetables and aromatic spicy dishes. Best enjoyed through 2027.
