Sensory Description:

The nose opens with gentle aromas of white peach, Meyer lemon, chamomile, jasmine, ripe pear, and citrus blossom alongside subtle herbal and mineral nuances. Though labeled Muscat Vert, the wine expresses itself with restraint and elegance rather than overtly perfumed intensity, offering a more delicate aromatic profile than traditional Muscat expressions. The palate is fresh and finely textured, balancing soft orchard fruit and citrus flavors with bright acidity and a lightly saline mineral edge. Neutral oak aging contributes quiet breadth without obscuring the wine’s transparency, while the unfined and unfiltered approach preserves texture and vitality. The finish is clean, lifted, and quietly persistent.

Winemaker's Background:

Founded by Rosalind Reynolds, Emme Wines is a Northern California project rooted in organic farming, minimal intervention winemaking, and a deep respect for the collaborative nature of wine production. Since launching her label in 2018, Reynolds has focused on crafting fresh, vibrant wines that reflect both vineyard character and the people behind every bottle. Working closely with like-minded growers throughout Northern California, she emphasizes indigenous fermentations, restrained cellar work, and wines designed to foster connection and shared experience. The Sun Egg takes its name from a beloved Elsa Beskow children’s story, reflecting the warmth, imagination, and personal storytelling woven throughout the Emme Wines project.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 8–10 °C in a universal white wine glass. Pairs beautifully with fresh cheeses, seafood crudo, herb-roasted chicken, spring vegetables, sushi, or citrus-driven salads. Its bright acidity and delicate aromatics also make it an exceptional aperitif wine.
