White flowers, acacia honey, citrus blossom, and fresh orchard fruit rise from the glass with vibrant aromatic purity. 2025 Fabien Jouves Mas del Périé 'Les Agudes' Vin de France is crafted from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards on the clay-limestone slopes of the Causse plateau, where spontaneous fermentation and careful lees aging preserve the wine's freshness, texture, and mineral precision. It reflects Fabien Jouves' commitment to expressive, low-intervention wines that allow vineyard and vintage to speak with clarity.

Sensory Description:

The nose opens with white flowers, acacia honey, pineapple, butter-roasted peach, and delicate citrus blossom, underscored by a subtle mineral note. The palate combines impressive density with vibrant tension, revealing ripe orchard fruit, lemon zest, and hints of passion fruit carried by lively acidity and a chalky mineral backbone. Lees aging contributes a gentle roundness without diminishing freshness, while the finish is long, saline, and defined by lingering citrus and noble bitters.

Winemaker’s Background:

Mas del Périé is a fifth-generation family estate located in Trespoux-Rassiels, one of the highest villages in the Cahors region. Since taking over the domaine in 2006, Fabien Jouves has become one of the leading voices of a new generation of Cahors producers, reimagining the region through brighter, more elegant wines rooted in biodynamic farming and minimal cellar intervention. Working exclusively by hand and relying on spontaneous fermentations with little to no additions, Jouves crafts wines that faithfully express their limestone-rich vineyards while preserving freshness, purity, and a strong sense of place.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in a medium-sized white wine glass to highlight its floral aromatics, mineral tension, and textured palate. Pair with grilled seafood, crab cakes, roast chicken, creamy goat cheese, potato samosas, asparagus, or herb-driven vegetable dishes.
