Nutty olive, creamy blue cheese, and bright vinegar meet in a rich, savory bite with a clean saline finish. Filthy Blue Cheese Olives combine naturally cured queen olives with real Wisconsin blue cheese, each olive hand-stuffed in Miami for use in carefully prepared cocktails or as a substantial bar snack. The product reflects founder Daniel Singer’s original mission to replace conventional cocktail olives with garnishes selected and prepared specifically for premium drinks.

Sensory Description:

The queen olive offers a firm, fleshy texture with woody, nutty flavor and moderate salinity. Its blue cheese center is creamy and tangy, adding cultured dairy richness and a subtle peppery edge. Vinegar and lactic acidity keep the combination lively, preventing the filling from feeling overly heavy. The finish moves from savory cheese and olive brine into a clean, appetizing tang.

Producer’s Background:

Filthy grew from founder Daniel Singer’s frustration that thoughtfully prepared cocktails were often finished with chemically cured salad olives and conventional dessert cherries. Singer and his brother Marc spent two years exploring hundreds of cultivatable olive and cherry varieties in search of ingredients better suited to cocktails, then built the company by selling directly to bars from cars and on subway journeys. Filthy favors naturally cured olives because the slower approach preserves more of their inherent nutty character and avoids the oily surface commonly associated with heavily processed cocktail garnishes. Filthy Blue Cheese Olives extend that philosophy by pairing a substantial queen olive with a rich filling designed to complement savory drinks.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Dirty Martini: Garnish a chilled vodka or gin Martini with one or two olives, particularly when using a measured amount of olive brine
  • Bloody Mary: Add to a garnish skewer with celery, pickled vegetables, or cured meat
  • Other Cocktails: Use with savory Martinis, Gibson variations, Bloody Maria cocktails, or spirit-free aperitif drinks
  • Snacking: Serve chilled with potato chips, roasted nuts, cured meats, crackers, or additional cheeses
  • Service: Refrigerate after opening and serve chilled for the firmest texture
  • Allergen Notice: Contains milk and may contain pit fragments

Why Filthy Blue Cheese Olives:

Filthy Blue Cheese Olives combine garnish, savory seasoning, and cocktail snack in one compact ingredient. The naturally cured olive contributes firm texture and briny depth, while the Wisconsin blue cheese adds enough richness to stand alongside assertive gin, vodka, tomato-based cocktails, or a simple aperitif. Their hand-stuffed preparation also offers bars and home hosts a polished alternative to filling olives individually before service.
