Sensory Description:

The nose opens with mandarin orange, yellow peach, and a delicate touch of cinnamon. On the palate, juicy Golden Delicious apple and lemon curd are layered with hints of crème brûlée, creating a wine that is fresh yet softly textured. Restrained oak adds subtle notes of vanilla and warm spice, while vibrant acidity carries the wine through a clean, elegantly perfumed finish.

Winemaker’s Background:

Michael Pozzan Winery traces its family winemaking heritage to the late nineteenth century in Piedmont, Italy, before the Pozzan family established roots in Sonoma County, where Michael's grandfather planted Zinfandel vineyards in 1948. Michael Pozzan founded his own winery in 1990, releasing his inaugural vintage the following year. Today, the family-owned winery continues with the involvement of Michael's sons, Dante and Matthew Pozzan, producing wines that emphasize balance, varietal character, and carefully selected vineyard sources. The Annabella label honors Michael's grandmother and reflects the family's commitment to crafting expressive, approachable California wines.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve lightly chilled at 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in a medium-sized Chardonnay glass to highlight the wine's vibrant fruit and subtle oak influence. Pair with roast chicken, grilled salmon, creamy pasta, lobster, roasted pork, mushroom risotto, or mild, creamy cheeses.
