Inspired by the briny waters of the Pacific Ocean and crafted for crowded Northwest tables piled high with oysters and shellfish, the 2024 Mothershucker Dry White channels the cool coastal energy of Oregon into a wine that is vibrant, textured, and endlessly refreshing. Built from three aromatic white varieties grown in the volcanic basalt and sedimentary marine soils of the Willamette Valley, this expressive blend balances saline minerality, orchard fruit, and crisp acidity in a style dedicated to seafood, conversation, and the spirit of the Pacific coast.

Sensory Description:

The 2024 Mothershucker Dry White opens with aromas of sea spray, salt air, wet sand, and coastal flowers layered alongside citrus zest and crisp orchard fruit. The palate is textured and lively, coating the tongue with flavors of lemon, white peach, green apple, and subtle tropical fruit while maintaining energetic acidity and mineral tension. Riesling contributes aromatic lift and freshness, Pinot Gris provides body and texture, and Sauvignon Blanc sharpens the blend with citrus-driven precision and herbal nuance. The finish is clean, saline, and refreshing, echoing cool ocean mist and the briny character that inspired the wine.

Winemaker’s Background:

Founded by vintner Matt Berson and designer Angela Reat, Portland Wine Company was built around a love of authenticity, simple pleasures, and expressive Oregon wines. Matt’s winemaking experience spans Oregon, New Zealand, Napa Valley, Germany, and Argentina, shaping a balanced and approachable style rooted in freshness and restraint. Angela’s creative vision helped establish the winery’s distinct personality and branding, including labels such as Love & Squalor and Mothershucker. Together, they produce honest, minimal-intervention wines from their urban Portland winery that celebrate Oregon’s landscape, culture, and agricultural character.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve the 2024 Mothershucker Dry White well chilled at 42–46°F in a white wine glass to highlight its coastal aromatics and crisp minerality. Pair it with freshly shucked oysters, shellfish platters, Dungeness crab, ceviche, grilled shrimp, sushi, clam linguine, or light seafood dishes. Its saline freshness and lively acidity also make it an exceptional aperitif for warm afternoons, seafood feasts, and Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine.
