Sensory Description:

The 2025 Delta Chardonnay opens with inviting aromas of ripe yellow apple, tangerine, vanilla, and crème brûlée. The palate is generous yet vibrant, delivering layers of orchard fruit and citrus framed by subtle creamy richness from barrel aging. Native fermentation preserves freshness and site expression, while balanced acidity carries the wine through a long, polished finish accented by delicate notes of toasted oak and baking spice.

Winemaker's Background:

Founded by husband-and-wife team Matt and Alexis Iaconis, Delta Wines for Environmental Change was established in 2019 as an extension of their acclaimed Brick & Mortar Wines. Matt, a UC Davis graduate with extensive harvest experience in Burgundy, Australia, New Zealand, Napa Valley, and Paso Robles, brings world-class winemaking expertise to every bottle. Alexis, an Advanced Sommelier and Culinary Institute of America graduate, contributes decades of hospitality and wine industry experience. Together, they created Delta not only to craft exceptional California wines but also to directly support organizations combating climate change through every bottle produced.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 48–52°F (9–11°C) in a medium-sized Burgundy glass to showcase its aromatic complexity and creamy texture. Pair with roasted chicken, grilled halibut, lobster with drawn butter, creamy risottos, mushroom pasta, seared scallops, or triple-cream cheeses. Its balance of vibrant acidity and subtle oak also makes it an excellent companion for holiday meals and elegant seafood dishes.
