460 Casina Bric was founded by winemaker and oenologist Gianluca Viberti in 2010 after over two decades of cultivating the same vineyards in Barolo’s famed Frazione Vergne. The name “Casìna Brìc,” meaning “little farmhouse on the hill” in the Piedmontese dialect, reflects the winery’s high elevation, 460 meters above sea level, making it the highest property in the Barolo commune. The estate, once a Napoleonic-era monastery, is now a fully modern, human-scaled winery devoted to producing terroir-driven wines that respect the fruit’s natural expression.
